IT Project Manager (6-Month Contract)

Position Summary

Lead an IT software implementation project and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that the project meets objectives, and is launched on time and within budget according to quality standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensures that project management processes for controlling scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resources are well-defined and are followed
  • Maintaining overall control of the schedule (person-days), budget, and the delivery of all expected deliverables
  • Managing user expectations
  • Preparing the management deliverables (Gantt charts, status reports, budget updates, issues lists, risk assessments, and key deliverables) and seeking approval when required
  • Identifying, quantifying, and communicating outstanding issues, project risks, and discrepancies and submitting recommendations to resolve issues and mitigate risks
  • Taking action on issues of non-compliance with quality
  • Maintaining ongoing contact with the Project Sponsors and Project Management Committee with respect to the status of work being done by the project team
  • Ensuring that user sign-off and approvals are obtained promptly
  • Keeping the lines of communication open among all project participants and the end user community

Position Qualifications

– BSc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
– Proven experience with managing several dynamic IT Software Projects
– Solid background in software implementation
– Previous experience in HR ERP Systems (e.g. SAP HR, Oracle HR, Workday, etc.) is highly preferred
– Prince2 and PMP is highly preferred
