IT Graduate – Business Analyst

Position Summary

As an IT Business Analyst Graduate, you will serve as a liaison between IT and end users and works with business partners to analyze requirements and produce specifications for technology changes, creating and documenting business cases and setting plans for projects and users accepting tests (UAT) all for improvement to processes and business operations using information technology. The position will be solid reporting into the IT Business Relationship Lead and dotted for the first year and a half to the Application analyst and then to the Business analyst.

Position Responsibilities

  • Application and IT Systems Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues reported by end-users related to application functionality, data integrity, and performance. Utilize troubleshooting techniques and analytical skills to diagnose problems and provide effective solutions within agreed-upon service levels.
  • User Support: Respond to user inquiries, provide guidance, and assist with application-related questions. Offer clear instructions and documentation to help users understand software functionalities, features, and best practices. Collaborate with users to gather additional information about reported issues and communicate status updates throughout the resolution process.
  • Incident Management: Manage and prioritize incidents by following established procedures. Ensure that incidents are properly logged, categorized, and escalated as needed. Track and monitor progress to meet defined service level agreements (SLAs). Proactively identify potential problems and work on preventive measures.
  • Application Maintenance: Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of applications by assisting with upgrades, patches, and bug fixes. Collaborate with the development team to test and validate changes before deploying them to production environments. Document any changes made to the application for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and vendors such as developers, database administrators, and network engineers, to resolve complex issues and optimize application performance. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving application design, usability, and user experience.

Position Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Management information systems or Computer Science.
  •  Excellent command of English skills verbal communication skills.
  •  Strong customer service ethic.
  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  Able to identify, prioritize, and solve IT systems-related problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills, successful in working both independently and in a team environment.
  •  Previous work experience in a technical field is not necessary but would be an advantage.
  •  Experience using help desk ticketing software, incident troubleshooting, and escalation
    Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, and programming languages certificate is a plus.
