Cost Accountant

Position Summary

This role focuses on overseeing financial operations, including cost control, budgeting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contracts, policies, and safety standards while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Cost Control: Analyze costs and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Gas Agreements: Manage gas sales contracts, monitor consumption, and reconcile invoices.
  • Budgeting: Prepare, track, and analyze budgets and forecasts.
  • Inventory: Oversee inventory accounting and financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Support financial closing, audits, and policy adherence.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with safety and responsible care standards.

Position Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Advanced coursework or studies in cost or management accounting (preferred).
  • Certifications and Training:
    • Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling.
    • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally in manufacturing or production.
    • Expertise in cost variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Familiarity with inventory management and cost control systems.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Understanding of industry-specific costing methodologies (e.g., standard costing, activity-based costing).
    • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industries.
    • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Language:
    • Advanced proficiency in English.
